Graduate recitals Lynch, Mark William Spinelli

Abstract

The following is a series of two concerts, the first was performed in April of 2001 and the second in April of 2002. The music performed was at the discretion of both the artist and their primary supervisor, which was their private lesson professor. The music of each performance was chosen for its significance to the saxophone repertoire and to expand the repertoire of the artist. Each piece had a new challenge for the artist that would expand their technical skill and musical ideology. One of the major goals over the two-year program was to show improvement in as many musical areas as possible and to bring the artist to a professional level of playing that was not a attainable during undergraduate study.
