Population Health and Community Development” Rose Soneff, Jami Brown, Lesley Dyck, and Peter Bruckmann facilitate a workshop that illustrates some of the new approaches being taken by organizations to address the population’s health using a community development approach. What factors enable this approach to be successful and what are the challenges. How have those involved been affected? How have approaches been tailored to fit communities’ needs? This workshop will provide an opportunity to interact with practitioners and share strategies. The experiences covered in this workshop include rural and remote areas as well as urban areas experiencing growth and change within their population base including an increasing level of diversity.
