Abstract: A paper written by Xwi7xwa Library founding librarian, Gene Joseph, while studying at the University of British Columbia's School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies (SLAIS). The paper discusses issues concerning library services for Aboriginal populations in Canada. Deficiencies of and barriers to library services for Aboriginal populations are noted and potential solutions are provided. Topics include literacy, oral tradition, funding, etc.
