Lisa Piper is Professor at the Department of History and Classics, University of Alberta, and specializes in the field of environmental history. Liz Piper is currently involved in a research project that examines the relationship between disease outbreaks and environmental change in the North, with a focus on the Mackenzie and Yukon river basins in the period between 1860 and 1970.
