Application of OOEM : an industrial case study Yeap, Soon Aun
Abstract
This thesis takes an industrial-based case and uses several modeling methods to model the organization and its business processes. The objective of this thesis is to apply the rule-based Object-Oriented Enterprise Modeling (OOEM) methodology developed by Wand and Woo as an enterprise and process modeling methodology, and to compare the OOEM models against two other modeling techniques: the Integrated Definition (IDEFO) technique and Jacobson's object-oriented approach to business modeling. The case analysis reveals that the OOEM method has advantages in modeling an enterprise and in communicating information about business processes.
