Fee practice medical service expenditures per capita, 1983-84 and full-time-equivalent physicians in British Columbia, 1979-80 to 1983-84 Barer, M. L.; Fung, Patrick Wong
Abstract
In 1983, the Division of Health Services Research and Development released a report with the same title as the present report (Barer and Wong Fung, 1983), covering fiscal year 1981-82, and providing data on physician supply and per capita fee-for-service medical expenditures in B.C. The present report contains an expanded range of information on the physician services sector, both in time and content. It covers the period 1979-80 to 1983-84, and includes more precise estimates of interprovincial referral patterns. It also contains a five year look at physician incomes. Whereas the earlier report contained supply estimates based on seventeen different approaches to full-time-equivalence (fte), the present document carries only eight definitions.
