The health status and medical services utilization of recent immigrants to Manitoba and British Columbia : a pilot report Kliewer, Erich Victor, 1944-; Kazanjian, Arminée, 1947-
Abstract
[Prepared for Citizenship and Immigration Canada.] This pilot study has demonstrated the feasibility of linking CIC’s landing file to provincial health databases. These databases can be used to provide not only an assessment of CIC’s medical screening, but to provide information on the health status and medical service requirements of immigrants. Such information could be of great value to provincial governments in developing health policy, programs and services for immigrants.
