Quick tips for Searching Alternative Outputs in cIRcle
For audio-based outputs:
- Search the name of specific audio-based outputs, e.g. “podcast”, in the search bar on the cIRcle home page
- To browse all audio-based outputs, click “Sound” under the “Type” filter, found on the left side of the search results page, to narrow results to audio-based items
For visual-based outputs:
- From the search results page, click “Still Image” under the “Type” filter to narrow results to visual-based items
For video-based outputs:
- Search keywords such as “lecture” or “documentary” in the search bar on the cIRcle home page, then narrow results by clicking “Moving Image” under the “Type” filter in the left-hand column
- To browse all video-based outputs, click “Moving Image” under the “Type filter” to narrow results to video-based outputs
For text-based outputs:
- Search the name of specific text-based outputs in the search bar on the cIRcle home page, e.g. “infographic”
- Use the filters in the left hand column to refine your results. Click “Text” under the “Type” filter and “Other” in the “Genre” filter. “Genre” is used to distinguish between the variety of text outputs such as theses, reports, and articles, so selecting “Other” may uncover some unique works!
