The cIRcle Submissions pages guides you through each step of the process whether you are a UBC faculty member, staff, or student: Submissions.
To get you started, we’ll ask you about three key elements that make sure you can openly share your work, make it easy for others to find, and preserve it for future generations:
- Permissions : Do you have copyright or permission to share this work?
- Metadata : Does your item include basic descriptive information such as Title, Author, Date or anything else we need to ensure others can find it?
- Preservation: Are you using an open file format? Will the file size pose any challenges for site visitors with lower bandwidth?
Each content type—from reports to video recordings—has its own requirements and considerations that determine how others view and engage with your work. To get an idea of what can be added to cIRcle, you can learn more about our services and explore examples: Introduction to cIRcle, UBC’s Institutional Repository. If you already have everything you need to submit content, you can complete the cIRcle Non-exclusive Distribution License and send us your files in one step: Item Submission Form.
